Good value except nuts | ||
These are a good value compared to retail is you need shear isolators. I tested them and estimate that they would be rated for maximum static shear load of about 4 to 5 pounds for shear deflection of about 10% to 15% for maximum rubber life. However, I highly recommend that MPJA or the user provide plain nuts with lock washers instead of the Nylock nuts now provided. The torque required to seat the Nylock nuts twists the isolator rubber up to 90 degrees, then locks in the twist as they seat. This amount of twist greatly exceeds the recommended long-term distortion of rubber isolators. | ||
